Fred Fox, 79, Topeka, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Midland Hospice House.
Fred was born January 10, 1933 in Topeka, the son of George W. and Lillie I. (Roux) Fox and attended Topeka schools.
He was employed by the City of Topeka as a foreman for the Water Department.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Fred Married Barbara Austin on January 15, 1950 in Topeka. She died February 10, 2008. Survivors include son, Michael Fox; granddaughter, Christina Fox; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Hernandez, Maya and Ammi Miller, all of Topeka. He was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Fox in 1979.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Topeka Cemetery. Fred will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, after 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
