Fred Marion Huffman, Jr., 65, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021.
He was born July 13, 1955, in Pindall, Arkansas, the son of Fred Marion Huffman Sr. and Betty Sue (Martin) Huffman. He graduated from Topeka High and attended Washburn University.
Survivors include his children, Michelle Gerdes of Topeka, Christina Wright of Smithville, MO, Melissa and Richard Proberts and Jamie D. Huffman, all of Topeka; siblings, Carolyn Busey of Blue Rapids, KS, Sharon Davis of Broken Arrow, OK and John Huffman of Topeka; grandchildren Mitchel Holmes, Chelsie Kline, Kevin Wright, Kyler Ruby, Jacob Powell, McKenna Wright and Baylee Proberts; and great-grandchildren Addison Holmes and Camdyn Holmes with an additional great-grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Linda Dickens and Christina Mullin; and granddaughter Alexis Huffman.
Fred's happiness was being surrounded by his children and grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka on Saturday, February 27 at 12:30 PM, with interment to follow. There will be a gathering at the Garfield Community Center shelter (1600 NE Quincy) after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
