Freda Mae Simon

Freda M. Simon, 95, of Topeka, passed away March 25, 2013 at Rolling Hills Health Center. She was born on October 24, 1917 to Frank and Ella (Carlson) Lobb at their farm home near Oskaloosa, Kansas. Freda graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1935. She married Roger C. Simon on July 26, 1938. Freda was a member of the First Congregational Church and Seabrook Congregational Church.
She is survived by her sons, Alan R. (Marilyn) Simon of Meriden, KS and Mike D. (Debbi) Simon of Topeka, KS; one grandson, Jason (Lisa) Mulvihill of Sacramento, CA; three great-grandchildren, Amanda, Allison and Robbi; her sister, Ruth Hannah of Oskaloosa, KS; and eleven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband on September 23, 1996, her parents, and her three sisters, Nellie, Claryce and Gladys.
As per her wishes, Freda was cremated. There will be a private graveside service held at a later date.
