Freda Helen Taylor, aged 95, passed away January 16, 2016, in Topeka, Kansas, after a brief illness. Helen was born Freda Helen Goans on January 2, 1921, in Lebanon, Missouri, the eldest daughter of Howard and Lessie Goans. Her sister, Hazel Goans Gordon of Tucson, Arizona, preceded her in death.
She was married to Byron Glenn Taylor on November 18, 1944, in Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2011. She worked at Gay Gibson and Kansas City Custom Garment and enjoyed sewing her whole life.
Helen Taylor is survived by her three sons: Byron Glenn Taylor, Jr. (Wendy) of Shawnee, Kansas; Ronald Roy Taylor of Houston, Texas; and Donald Dean Taylor (Larry) of Topeka, Kansas; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Helen Taylor was cremated. A private family service will be held at a later date.
