Frederick Funston Fogel, 70, of Lyndon, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at his home.
He was born on February 14, 1942 in Topeka, Kansas to Herbert and Marine (Hill) Fogel. Frederick graduated from Carbondale High School in 1960. He was a maintenance mechanic for Frito Lay where he retired in 2004 after 24 years of employment. Frederick was a long time farmer and cattleman. He was a member of Stull Church of Christ.
Frederick is survived by his wife of 51 years Zola; his son, Jeffrey Fogel of Carbondale and three brothers, Steven and Carl Fogel, both of Carbondale and Ken Fogel of Lebo, KS. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Curtis Allen Fogel.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, August 27 at the Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in the Big Springs Cemetery. He will lie in state from Noon until 5 pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas, 2900 H Oakley Ave, Topeka, KS 66614.
