Garry L. Wright, 74, of Topeka, passed away on June 11, 2013 at his home. Garry was born June 26, 1938 in Perry, KS to Jim and Eldha (Beurman) Wright. He attended school in Perry, Hoyt, and Meriden. He also attended night classes at Washburn University for 5 years with an emphasis in Accounting.
Garry was employed at the Safeway grocery store in North Topeka for 2 years and then at Du Pont's cellophane plant near Tecumseh, KS for 27 years. After retiring from Du Pont, Garry was as an independent contractor until his official retirement in 2006.
Garry was married to June Alfrey on August 29, 1958. They divorced. He married Nancy L. Constable on September 3, 1966. They enjoyed 33 years of marriage before her passing in November 1999. He was also preceded in death by both parents.
Garry is survived by a brother, Dale Wright (Kathy), Kansas City, KS; three sons Gregory Wright (Betty), Osage City, KS; Jeffery Wright, Meriden, KS; Jed Wymore, Manhattan, KS; a daughter Shannon Wymore Chenoweth (Randy), Quenemo, KS; 3 granddaughters, Christian, Heather and Kami; 3 grandsons, Richard, Jonathan, and Nathan; and 1 great-granddaughter Ayler. He is also survived by his best friend Mary Murphy, Topeka, KS who was by his side for the past several years.
Per Garry's wishes, cremation is planned. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 17, 2013, 11AM at Grantville Cemetery. "I leave with the fondest hope that each and every one of you seeks the TRUTH in all things, and have peace and comfort in the life that you live." – Garry
