Gary Boman
Gary M. Boman, 46, Topeka, passed away Monday, Feb. 20, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital.
He was born Jan. 9, 1960 in Wichita, the son of Charles and Jean Boman. He moved with his family to Topeka in 1966. Gary graduated from Topeka Lutheran School in 1974, and Topeka High School in 1978. He attended St. John's University, Winfield and Washburn University, Topeka. He retired from KNI in 1991.
He married Betty Bush on Oct. 24, 1991. She survives. Other survivors include his parents, Charles and Jean Boman, Topeka; a step-son, Jonathan Bush and wife, Shirley, serving with the US Army, stationed in Germany; a sister, Kathy Dunn and husband, Doug, Flagstaff, AZ; an aunt, Blanche Boman, Las Cruces, NM; and an uncle, Gerald Boman, Overland Park, KS.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Assn., 3649 SW Burlingame Rd, 66611; Ken Berry Baseball League, PO Box 1374, 66601; or to the organization of the donor's choice.
Cremation is planned. Private inurnment will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-4:30 pm Friday at Newcomer Family Funeral Home.
