Gary E. Jenkins

Gary E. Jenkins, 66, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, November 20, 2006 at his home. He was born on September 6, 1940 in Winchester, the son of Edwin T. and Irma Townsend Jenkins. He grew up in Topeka and graduated from Topeka High School and obtained a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Washburn University. He was employed by Contech Construction Products, Inc. for over thirty years. Gary married Carol A. Wilson on January 10, 1964 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Darren W. Jenkins and wife, Kristine of Eudora, Brad E. Jenkins of Topeka and two grandsons, Jaylen and Teven. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Inurnment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Friday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 N.W. Rochester Rd., Topeka, KS 66617.
