Gary Lee Potter, 74, of Emporia, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017.

He was born July 26, 1943, in Strong City, Kansas, the son of Lee and Maxine (Christlieb) Potter.

Gary was a 1961 graduate of Harveyville High School and worked as a self-employed master mechanic.

Survivors include his father, Lee; children, Robbin (Duane) Lister, Renae (Eric) Walters, and Rodney Potter; siblings, Mike Potter and Donna Slade; grandchildren, Ashley (Bruce) Taylor, Kaylee Potter, Jake Potter, Sloan Walters, Raya Walters, Greg (Stacy) Mullinix, Chase (Samantha) Mullinix, Brett (Kirsten) Mullinix, Jennifer (Tom) Masters, Ashley Lister; Lisa (Austin) Droegemeier, Crisstopher Lister, and Dakota (Jordan) Lister; great-grandchildren, Wylee Mullinix, Remington Lister, Ryder Lister, Waylon Masters, Brett Masters, Ashley Masters, McKenzie Shives, Keaton Shives, Gage Purvis, and Denver Purvis.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine; and spouse, Jane Hughes.

Gary was cremated. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Harveyville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Interim Healthcare c/o Tiffany Brubaker, Director of Hospice Services, 1251 SW Arrowhead, Suite 103, Topeka, Kansas 66604.
