Geneatha A. Field Stevens, 66, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013 at her home.
She was born December 28, 1946 in Iola, Kansas, the daughter of Lester and Jewell Head Turner. She had resided in Topeka since 1979. Geneatha married Joseph Edmond Field in June, 1966. He preceded her in death in June, 1997. She married George Stevens in November, 1997. He preceded her in death on August, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Rosanna J. Field Rothfelder in March, 2012 and one brother, Darrel Turner as an infant and one sister, Velma Turner in April, 1996
Survivors include three children, Joseph R. (Michelle) Snow, Eddie Joe (Sharron) Field, Matthew S. (Debby) Field, ten step-children, Della Field, Debbie Ketter, Eddie Leroy Field, Lois Field, Linda Field, Caroline McCoy, Sherie Doran, Terie Elkins, Mark Stevens, Angela Allen, 30 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and her brother, Wayne Turner.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will take place in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601.
