George Beumer, 81, of Nortonville, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017.
He was born June 3, 1936, in St. Charles, Missouri, the son of Waldo and Esther (Nollman) Beumer. He served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam as a gunnery sergeant.
George had worked for Jostens American Yearbook and TARC for many years.
George married Betty Jane McKern on August 5, 1956, in St. Charles, Missouri. She survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Kelly (John) Shepherd and Debby (Kent) Caleb; grandchildren, Amanda Whitehead, Matthew Caleb, Michelle Caleb, and Megan Caleb; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mike Beumer.
George was cremated. A memorial ceremony will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017, at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
