George Marvin Bingham, 74, Topeka died Thurs., Nov. 24, 2005, at his home. He was born March 30, 1931 at St. Joseph, MO the son of Marion C. and Ruth S. Bingham.
George grew up in Topeka. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1950 in Japan. He entered the ministry full time in 1962, pastoring Assemblies of God Churches in Kansas, Nebraska, and Missouri for over 35 years.
George married Wilma J. Hopson on April 11, 1958. She survives.
Also surviving are three children: Karla Brown of Perry, OH, Cynthia DeLozier and Rodney Bingham both of Topeka; 7 grandchildren; and 6 siblings.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005 at First Assembly of God, 500 SW 27th. Interment will be in Rochester Cemetery. George will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday.
