George E. Heather

George E. Heather, 60, formerly of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at a Lawrence, KS hospital.

He was born on December 21, 1946 in Boonville, MO, the son of Roy E. and Geneva L. Sieckmann Heather. He attended Washburn Rural and Topeka West High Schools.

George was a Marine veteran.

Survivors include one daughter, Dovian Whittaker of Carbondale, one son, Jonathan E. Heather of Olathe, five grandchildren and two sisters, Gail Babb of Topeka and Judy Lubenesky of Bath, PA. George was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Heather and one sister, Becky Warta.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2007 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Cremation is planned.
