George "Dutch" Lee Kisner, 55, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, March 15, 2019 at a Topeka hospital. He was born March 6, 1964 in Jacksonville, FL to George and Patricia Kisner. Dutch graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1982. After high school, he joined the Navy for 4 years.
After serving in the Navy, he moved to Las Vegas where he tended bar and was a black-jack dealer. Dutch moved back to Topeka in 1994 and tended bar at the Topeka Country Club for 24 years until he retired in December, 2018. While working at the Topeka Country Club, Dutch loved to play Santa and create origami napkin designs. He was also known for his famous stuffed olives.
Dutch was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael Kisner.
Dutch is survived by a sister; Peggy Sanchez (Kisner) of St Paul, Minnesota, a brother; Duke Kisner of Silver Lake, Kansas, a half-sister; Lori Kisner of Texas, and nieces and nephews; Chelsie (Kisner) Kettler , Roxanne Sanchez, Valerie Sanchez and Eli Sanchez.
A Celebration of Dutch's Life will be held Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Topeka Country Club.
