He was a Marine Corp veteran of WWII, serving in the South Pacific.
He lived in California for 17 years before returning to Topeka in 1970. He was in the brick and stone mason trade prior to opening Figgs
Imports, Inc. in 1971, which he owned and operated for 32 years.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Bricklayers Union and the New Car Dealers Association.
