George Pierce, 76, of Emporia, passed away on August 16, 2020 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.
George was born on August 2, 1944 to Arthur William and Nettie Marie (Dawson) Pierce in Girard, Kansas.
George worked as a manufacturer for the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant.
On September 17, 1979, George married Rebecca Babb in Miami, Oklahoma.
George is survived by his loving daughter, Kim Powell; three grandchildren Kara, Katie, and Abel and step-granddaughter Hillarie Watson; stepdaughter Janet Liebermann and stepson John Rawson.
He enjoyed fishing and listening to music.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
