George Clifford Tomlinson III, 73, passed away April 11 2017 in Topeka Kansas.
George was born February 13 1944 to George C Tomlinson Jr. and Darlene (Weber) Tomlinson in Abilene Kansas. He attended schools in Chapman. In 1962 he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served until 1966, seeing active duty in Vietnam. He lived for many years in Harveyville, and at the time of his death he resided at Lake Wabaunsee.
George had a huge interest in ham radio, and has an extended network of radio buddies all over the world.
George married Karen Schell in 1963, this marriage produced children Shelli Bennett of NSW Australia, and George C. Tomlinson IV of Albany, Oregon. In 1973 George married Judy Finch. This union produced Christopher Tomlinson of Harveyville Kansas. In 1984 George married Iva Smith. She preceded him in death November 2014.
George's siblings are Charlotte Haines of Florida, Stephanie Lee of Iowa, Sandra Valenti of Kansas, and Sharon Link of Iowa.
His grandchildren are Sofia and Kostandinos Sakoulas of NSW Australia, and Morgan and MacKenzie Tomlinson of Harveyville Kansas, and 2 great-grandchildren, Gavin and Trinity Jane Taylor of NSW Australia.
A graveside service will be held April 21, 2017 at 11AM, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Enterprise Kansas.
