George W. Mcguire

George W. McGuire, 68, of Topeka, Kansas died October 15, 2010 at Midland Hospice Care. He was born May 28, 1942 in Liberty, Missouri to Patrick H. McGuire and Mary Jacobs, both of whom preceded him in death.

He was raised in North Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City, Kansas.
George entered into the United States Army in 1961. While enlisted, he served in Berlin and Frankfurt Germany, ending his service in 1967 at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He left honorably with the rank of E-5.

He married Joyce Niblock on November 11, 1966 in Tacoma, Washington. While living in Topeka, he had been employed by Josten's Publishing as a silk screen operator. In his life he had also worked as a mechanic, gas station manager, cab driver and warehouse worker. He retired in 2004.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Niblock, Topeka; his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Lisa McGuire, Overbrook, KS; three sisters and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
