Georgia Ann Paulsen, 72, of Topeka, passed away July 1, 2015. She was born February 22, 1943 at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka, Kansas to George "Dutch" Jacob Krentz and Barbara Jean (Musick) Krentz. Georgia was raised in Topeka and graduated from Hayden High School in 1961.
Georgia married Robert E. Clark in Topeka in 1964. They were divorced. She then married Thomas H. Paulsen in Las Vegas, NV in 1981. Tom preceded Georgia in death in 2005. She was also preceded by her parents.
She was employed by Santa Fe Railway beginning in 1961. She worked in the Superintendent of Car Services office (later known as Car Accounting) and the Motive Power Department at Santa Fe Shops. Her husband Tom was also employed by Santa Fe and they moved to San Francisco, CA to work for the Southern Pacific Railroad when there was talk of merging the Santa Fe and Southern Pacific.
Georgia was a Master Gardner and also a member of the Topeka Gem and Mineral Society. She loved gardening and plants, loved animals and collecting all types of things. Georgia was also a member of Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church. She absolutely adored her grandchildren, Lara, Jacob, Jessica and her great-grandson Hayden.
Georgia is survived by her sons Randall Clark and Ryan (Michelle) Clark, both of Topeka; her three grandchildren; one great-grandson; and her two brothers Mark (Janis) Krentz and Mike (Ginger) Krentz.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 10th at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Private inurnment at a later date will be at Saint Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Meriden, Kansas.
