Georgia R. Norman

Georgia R. Norman, 99, of Topeka passed away February 20, 2013 at Stormont Vail Hospital. She was born in Williamsfield, Illinois on March 1, 1913 to George M. and Nannye B. Chamblain Wells.
She graduated from Vermont High School, Vermont, IL in 1931. She married Paul E. Norman on Dec. 24, 1936 at Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 1987. She was a member of the Church of Christ but poor health had kept her from attending.
She is survived by four children, Robert W. Norman (Livia) of Pordenone, Italy, Thomas L. Norman (Kim) of San Francisco, CA, Daniel S. Norman of Colton, CA and Sue A. Sommer (Dale) of Topeka, KS; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Vivian M. Hainline; one sister Rena Balsinger; one daughter-in-law, JoAnn Norman; 1 grandchild and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Cremation is planned. Private services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013. Inurnment will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Alma at a later date.
