Gerald D. Richmond, 85, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born March 9, 1934 in Wamego, Kansas, the son of Chester L. and Cora P. (Henderson) Richmond.
Gerald graduated from Onaga High School in 1951. He was employed by Coca Cola Bottling Company for 4 years, Halpin Sales for 22 years and Capital Distributing for 9 years before retiring. After retiring, he worked part time for Lewis Toyota, Ed Bozarth Chevrolet and Capitol Federal.
Gerald married Margery J. Oehm on December 31, 1965 in Holton, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include children, Timothy J. Richmond of Topeka, Tamie J. Davis of Ft. Worth, Texas, Jodi D. Fay of Topeka, 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Gerald was preceded in death by one daughter, Kim Richmond and his sister, Lois J. Nolte on March 13, 2010.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2019 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Private inurnment will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
