Geraldine A. Bicknell, 78, of Auburn, KS, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018.
She was born on June 22, 1939 in Topeka, KS to Elmer and Esther Wagner.
Geraldine married Clyde "Bud" Bicknell, Jr. on June 1, 1957 in Topeka, KS. They spent 53 wonderful years together before he preceded her in death on April 3, 2011.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Rogers; and sisters Ruth Domme and Marie McMillan.
She is survived by daughters, Julie (Mark) Ross, and Jennifer Hennes-Bayless (Todd); 8 grandchildren, Heather (Jay) Weston, Jeremy (Sara) Gowan, Danielle Rogers, Chelsey (Dakota) Stallons, Wes Rogers, Jessica (Eric) Tran, Seth Hennes, and Victoria Hennes; as well as 8 great-grandchildren.
Geraldine worked as a cook for USD 437 for over 30 years. After retirement she worked briefly at Harrah's Prairie Band Casino. She enjoyed embroidery, reading, baking cookies and spending time with her grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 37th & Wanamaker Road. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Private family inurnment will take place at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery & Mausoleum.
