Ginger D. Hymon, 56, Topeka, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 at a local care center.
Ginger was born August 18, 1958 in Topeka, the daughter of John and Jean (Thompson) Lane. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1976 and attended Washburn University.
She served in the Kansas Army National Guard.
She was employed by Federal Home Loan-FiServ for over 20 years, retiring in 2003.
She attended St. Matthew's Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling in the St. John's Bowling league at Southwest Bowl, and taking cruises in the Caribbean.
Ginger married Hamilton H. Hymon on April 22, 1978 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on May 18, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include sons, William (LaKecia) Hymon, Robert (Briana Nocktonick) Hymon, all of Topeka; sister, Cynthia (Freddie)Hayes, Stockbridge, Georgia; brother, Eddie (Mia) Lane, Rowlett, Texas; grandchildren, Jayla and Brielle Hymon; niece, Mariah Lane; and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
