7. Background: She was a retired School teacher and taught elementary school and junior high school. She
retired from the Pomona school district. She also taught piano. She graduated from Geneseo High School in 1942
and later from McPherson College. She was a member of the Federated Women's Club, Order of the Eastern Star,
PEO and a Methodist women's association. She had served on the state KNEA board and was a delegate to the
national NEA convention in 1965. She married Robert "Bob" Brust on July 23, 1944 in Geneseo. He died March
7, 1992.
