Gladys E. Carlson, 88, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2005 at a local care facility.
She was born April 3, 1917 in Lindsborg, the daughter of John W. and Lavia S. Lundquist Swenson.
Gladys married Lawrence Carlson. They later divorced.
She was a loving mother of three children and a longtime employee of Stormont Vail Hospital. Gladys was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, First Southern Baptist Church and later the New Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Gerald Carlson, Smithville, MO, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children: John W. Carlson and Joyce K. Toolin.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 24, 2005 at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
