Gladys Cooper

Gladys Elizabeth Cooper, 93, died September 30, 2012 at Brewster Place, Topeka, Kansas. She was born on a farm in Haskell County, Stigler, Oklahoma on December 15, 1918, the daughter of Edward Kelsey and Mary Eunice Williams. She lived in Oklahoma until moving to Kansas to teach school in 1941. She was a teacher for 28 years. She married Wallace W. Cooper, Jr., of Hoxie, Kansas on Jan. 12, 1945. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2009 and her grandson, Matthew Yocum.

Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Anne Hunsecker ( Don), Maple Hill, and Mary Edith Yocum , Topeka; two sons, Michael Lynn Cooper (Yvonne) Phoenix, AZ, and Patrick William Cooper , Omaha, NE; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cooper was cremated. Inurnment will be at a later date.
