Glen Venhaus, 59, of Topeka, passed away on October 31, 2009. Glen was born on May 9, 1950, in Chanute, KS, the son of Lawrence and Oleta Venhaus. On June 9, 2004, he married Andrea Nelson, in Topeka. She survives.
Glen was a 1968 graduate of Chanute High School. He later graduated from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. He worked as a retail pharmacist for 40 years in the Topeka area. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Andrea; son, Nick (Shawna) Venhaus; step-sons, Richard (Jennifer) Nelson and Eric (Jean) Nelson; and two grandchildren. Also surviving are mother, Oleta Venhaus; brother, Don (Neva) Venhaus; sisters, Jean (Chris) Flores and Linda O'Connor.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker.
