Glen D. Blakeman, 93, Topeka, passed away Friday, November 14, 2014.
He was born December 6, 1920, in Bloom City, Wisconsin, the son of Delbert and Nora (Cooper) Blakeman. In 1938 he graduated from Mt. Horeb High School and then attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
Glen ran his own tile business as a young man and then spent 28 years with ABF Freight System retiring as a branch manager.
He was a founding member of Crestview United Methodist Church.
Glen married Maxine Masonhall on September 23, 1940 in Waterloo, Iowa. She preceded him in death on April 1, 2009.
Other survivors include two sons, Michael Blakeman, Topeka and Robert Blakeman; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all who reside in Lake Arrowhead, CA.
Memorial services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 24 at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 S.W. 6th Avenue, Topeka.
Inurnment will be held at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery at a later date.
