Glen Calvin Holmes, Sr., 51, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018.
He was born November 26, 1966 in Topeka, the son of Alvin Franklin and Norma Jean (Morgan) Holmes, Sr.
He attended Highland Park High School.
Glen married Tracy Lavisse. They divorced. Survivors include two sons, Glen Calvin Holmes, Jr., Alta Vista, KS and Garrett Ray Holmes, Topeka; five brothers, Gary Holmes, Bruce Arbuthnot, Mike Arbuthnot, Steve Arbuthnot and Alvin Holmes, Jr; one sister Nancy Holmes Rose; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Robert Arbuthnot.
Glen enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, attending concerts, classic rock music. He also liked to tinker and fix things as well as help people in need.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Dove Cremation and Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Ave, Topeka. Cremation will follow the visitation.
Graveside inurnment service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Comiskey Cemetery, near Council Grove, Kansas.
