Glenda Kaye Snyders, 77, of Topeka, formerly of Lawrence, KS, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
Glenda was born in Springfield, Illinois on October 2, 1943 to John and Neva Sauer where she was raised and attended schools. Her working career as a secretary spanned from 1961 to 2009 that included working at the ROTC office at the University of Kansas and the USDA Department of Agriculture where she retired from. She married James W. Snyders whom she raised one daughter and three sons with.
As a child, Glenda was a talented artist and won many awards. She continued her artistic endeavors throughout her life which expanded to include a multitude of crafts. Her other interests that she enjoyed were playing games, reading, cooking, and crime dramas. Even with a career and hobbies, Glenda always put her children first. She helped with homework and continued to support learning in all aspects of their lives.
Glenda is survived by three sons, James B. Snyders, Timothy Calandrino, and Thomas Snyders; and grandson Jack Calandrino. She was preceded in death by her husband James W. Snyders and her daughter Regina Evans.
