Glenn A. Owens, 77, passed away at his home Friday, May 22, 2009.
Glenn was born July 17, 1931 in Durango, Colorado, but was a lifetime resident of Topeka, Kansas.
Glenn is survived by his wife and three children, five grandchildren and two great grandsons.
He was a U.S. Navy serviceman in the Korean War and a 30 year U.S. Postal Worker. Following his retirement he worked 15 years for the Dillon's Stores.
Mr. Owens will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday May 26, at the Dove Funeral Home with visitation from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. that evening. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday May 27, 2009 in the Lincoln Garden at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the veteran's organization of the donor's choice.
