Gloria May Warren, 79, Topeka, died Sunday, April 5, 2009, at her home. She was born November 26, 1929, in Topeka, the daughter of Adrian & Emily (Himmel) Ford. She grew up in Topeka, graduated from Topeka High School, and attended Clark's Business School.
Gloria married Elmer Warren on Oct. 13, 1948, in Topeka. He preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 1993. She is survived by three sons, Dale (Maggie) Warren, Daniel (Joyce) Warren, Darrel (Mary Anne) Warren, and one daughter, Rebecca (Steve) Baum, all of Topeka; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Leila Jones of Lewisville, TX, and a brother, Jack (Florence) Ford of Kansas City, MO.
Grandma Peachy was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed caring for and spending time with her family and friends.
A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Dove Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
