Greg R. Duffens

Greg Robert Duffens, 74, of Topeka, Kansas passed away February 27, 2025 after an extended illness. 

Greg was born April 19, 1950 in Topeka. He was the son of Robert E. Duffens and Madeline Hardesty. Greg graduated from Topeka West High School and Washburn University where he was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. 

Greg was married to Jane Garhan Duffens for over 50 years until her passing in 2023. Greg is survived by his mother, Madeline Hardesty, his siblings, Gary (Mary) Duffens and Carol Puckett, and many nieces and nephews. 

Greg served as principal and vice president of Duffens Optical for over 30 years. He was also president of the Optical Laboratories Association in 1996. Greg was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, sporting clays, and golf. His greatest enjoyment was enjoying his ranch with Jane and their many dogs.
