Greg Chitwood, 34 of Topeka, passed away March 12, 2016. He was born October 10, 1981 to Douglas L and Virginia A. Quy Chitwood at Topeka, Kansas.
He grew up in Topeka and Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Sapulpa High School in Oklahoma.
He married Samantha Schlotterback on March 15, 2008. She survives. He was employed by Cox Communications for many years and was recently employed by Payless Shoe Source. He loved to play softball and basketball and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
He is also survived by his children, Ansley and Alex; his mother, Ginger Chitwood of Tulsa, OK; his father and mother, Douglas and Sandy Chitwood of Denver, CO; his siblings: Stephanie Koloff of Tulsa, OK, Marla Keown of Denver, CO, Lexi Chitwood of Topeka, Trina Chitwood of Manhattan, KS; maternal grandmother Melissa J. Butler of Tulsa, OK; and paternal grandmother, Jean Chitwood of Welda, KS.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 1716 SW Gage, Topeka, Kansas 66604.
