Gerald Wayne "G.W." Rose, 77, of Topeka, went to his eternal resting place on May 12, 2021.
He was born on April 13, 1944 to Karl and Myrle (Hart) Rose in Garden City, Kansas.
G.W. worked as an Engineer and Project Manager during his professional life.
On June 15, 1974 G.W. married Rozella Jean Whiteford in Wellsville, Kansas.
G.W. is survived by his wife, Jean of Topeka; his sons, Brent (Luz Quiroga) Rose and Kale (Jamie) Rose both of Topeka; two grandsons, Arik Rose and Akston Rose.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard Rose.
G.W. was a pilot and loved flying, racing motorcycles and enjoyed photography and art.
A memorial ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 21, 2021 at the Dove Cremations and Funerals – Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66610. Burial of G.W. cremated remains will be at Lynn Creek Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
