Harry Dean Howard, 72, Topeka, died Friday, July 18, 2003 at Midland Hospice House.
He was born March 9, 1931 in Topeka, the son of Russell Don and Veronica Helene Halloran Howard. He graduated from Topeka High School.
Mr. Howard owned and operated Millwright Services, Inc. for 32 years before retiring on March 1, 1996.
He was a member of Moose Lodge #555, a life member of the American Motorcycle Assn., and the Carpenters Millwright Local #1445.
He married Jeannette McKinney on Dec. 11, 1955 in Tonganoxie. She survives.
Other survivors include 2 sons, Michael Dean Howard of Meriden, Bradley David Howard of Wheatridge, CO; a daughter, Kerry Elaine Hartzell of Topeka; 3 brothers, Marvin J. Howard of Mena, AR, Robert E. Howard and Richard G. Howard both of Topeka; 5 grandchildren, Machelle Howard, Russell Howard, Heather Howard, Traycee Howard, and Marissa Hartzell; 6 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11:00 am Monday at Newcomer Family Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10 am until service time Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice House, 120 SW Frazier Circle, 66606.
