Harvey Lee Sutton, 57, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022. He was born July 17, 1964, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Chester "Bob" and Mae Lee (Thomas) Sutton.
Harvey was a devout Christian, a devoted and loving husband and father, a proud grandfather, a skilled carpenter, and an avid fisherman and gardener. He was gentle and kind to everyone he met. He was hard-working and loyal in everything he did. He was loved and respected by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Harvey married his longtime love, Nicole Malone, on March 7, 2022. He is survived by Nicole and by his five children, Jackie, Porisha, Harvey, Jzanasia, and Kory; his six grandchildren, DeAnthony, LaRon, Zia, Harmony, Marmion, and Mekhi; his siblings, Susie, Hazel, Mary and Chester; and his mother, Mae Lee Thomas Sutton.
Harvey joins his father Bob and three brothers, Willie, Louis, and John, in Heaven.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26, at 2:00 pm at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. Topeka, and will be followed by a celebration of Harvey's life at the Garden House at Lake Shawnee, 3137 SE 29th Street. All family and friends are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Topeka Rescue Mission, Inc., PO Box 8350, Topeka, Kansas 66608.
