Helen Bertrand, 97, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017.
She was born March 10, 1920, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, the daughter of William and Alice (Crane) Buck. She grew up in Clay Center, Garden City, and Hutchinson.
Helen was employed as an interior decorator by Furniture City in Clay Center and later Graber Furniture in Hutchinson.
Survivors include daughter, Janice (Jack) Shultz; daughter-in-law, Karen Bertrand; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert James Bertrand; great-grandson, Joshua Robertson; great-great-grandson, Tyler Bertrand; four brothers; and one sister.
Private services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Helen's name to Grace Community Church, 500 W. Ross Blvd, Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
