Helen L. Anno

Helen L. Anno, 91, of Topeka, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at a Topeka hospital. She was born on April 29, 1916 in Topeka, the daughter of James Frank and Myrtle Leona Elliott Morand. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1934. She worked at Woolworth dimestore from 1935 to 1937. Helen married Allison William Anno on October 20, 1937. Her and Al farmed for many years. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1998. Survivors include one son, Dale A. Anno and wife, Marilyn of Maple Hill, two grandchildren, Tony Anno and wife, Stefany and Julie Anno Ewing and husband, Andy and five great-grandchildren, Joshua, Joe and Amy Anno and Scott and Daniel Ewing. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will follow. Helen will lie in state one hour prior to service time at the chapel. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
