Helen Lucille Keller, 83, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014. She was born July 5, 1931, in Atchison, Kansas, the daughter of Benjamin and Lorene Hundley.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, four brothers- Wilburn, Stanley, Carl, and Joseph, and two sisters Delores and Linda.
She is survived by her daughter Pamela, son-in-law Michael, grandson Jordan, grand-daughter Alexandria, and her brother, Rollie.
Helen was a real estate agent in Phoenix, Arizona and Topeka, Kansas. At the age of 60, she began working toward a degree at Washburn University.
In her later years, she became a fervent political junkie, and she was proud to vote for our first, African-American president. She was a passionate mother and grandmother who believed in the dreams of those she loved.
Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Brookwood Convenant Church, 3601 SW 33rd Street in Topeka, at 2:00 p.m.
