Helen Lively

Helen C. Lively, 83, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2006 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center, in Topeka. She was born March 2, 1923 in Alton, IL the daughter of Iva and James Yeager. She married Riley Pierson and they later divorced. She married Robert Lively on January 2, 1962. He survives. Helen enjoyed reading, and especially crocheting. She is survived by a daughter, Robin Beatty and her husband Russ, Emporia, Michael Lively and his wife Pam, Berryton, Greg Pierson and his wife Dee, Tecumseh, Larry Pierson and his wife Carol, N. Aurora, IL, and Richard "Bud" Pierson and his wife Shelby, Trempealeau, WI. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, March 20, at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, with burial to follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Helen will lie in state after 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with a family visitation that evening from 6 – 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the organization of the donor's choice.
