Helen June Morris, 73, of Tecumseh, KS, passed away, Friday, October 19, 2007.
She was born April 8, 1934 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Walt and Myrtle Wettengel.
Helen was a lover of all things related to nature and the outdoors. She was passionate about Arabian horses, dogs and Persian cats. She was an avid gardener. Helen enjoyed using many mediums in experiencing art, especially painting.
She had been active in various Arabian Horse Associations.
Helen married William A. Morris, June 23, 1951 in Tecumseh, KS. He survives. Other survivors include three sons, Michael W. Morris and his wife Deborah, Tecumseh, KS; David S. Morris and his wife Sheryl, Topeka, KS; Steven J. Morris, Tecumseh, KS; her daughter, Debra Morris and her husband Mark Wulff, Prairie Village, KS; three brothers, Ted, Tom and Bill Wettengel, two sisters, Dixie Flott and Mary Grant, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Mrs. Morris will lie in state after 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. that evening. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 25, 2007 at Bethel Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Midland Hospice Care, 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606.
