Henry Joseph Bromich

July 20, 1936 — April 30, 2021

Henry Joseph "Bud" Bromich, 84, of Topeka, KS, husband of Judith Cowan Bromich, went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2021 with his loving family surrounding him at home. He was the son of the late Henry and Corrine Bromich, also of Topeka. He and Judy were happily married for 63 years. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a true and loyal friend to many.

Bud attended Randolph Elementary School, Boswell Junior High, Topeka High School and was a Kappa Sig at Washburn University. He was President & CEO of Topeka Supply & Boiler Works until he retired. At that time, the company had been in the Bromich family for 118 years.

Bud and Judy were avid travelers and have visited all 50 states and all 7 continents. They enjoyed playing tennis and golf with their friends. They also loved boating and Bud captained the committee boat for the Lake Sherwood Sailboat races on Sunday afternoons for many years. He also served 40 years on the Sherwood improvement District Board of Directors.

Bud was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ann Peel and Althea Leistikow.

Remembering him with love are his wife Judy; four children, Bradley (Cheryl) Bromich, Becky (Tom) Samuelson, Brett (Cheryl) Bromich and Jim (Kelley) Thorp; twelve grandchildren, Bobbi (Kent), Mitchell (Whitney), Alex, Eryn, BJ, Payton, Jordan, Anna, Parker, Karter, Bailey and Brody; two great-grandchildren, Savannah and Brock; a sister, Sandra Wittmer; a sister-in-law, Ruth Cowan and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4700 SW 17th St., Topeka, KS 66604. Interment will follow.

Dove Cremations and Funerals – Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka, KS 66610 is assisting the family.
