Henry "Ted" Carlisle, 79, Topeka, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006, at his home in Topeka.
He was born August 30, 1927 in Clay Center., the son of Henry and Faith Carlisle. He moved to Topeka in 1937 with his family. Ted was a roofer of 50 years before retiring in 1989. He married Mary Beth Degenkolbe in 1951 at Bentonville AR. She survives. Ted enjoyed fishing and was a member of Roofers Local # 20.
He is survived by Mary Beth of the home; daughters, Judy Jackson, Mayetta, and Terri Large, Topeka, and two sons; Teddy Ray Carlisle, and Danny Carlisle, both of Topeka. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Richard Threkeld, and a sister, Gladys Dunn.
Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 9, 2006, at Topeka Cemetery, Garden Patio, 1601 SE 10th Ave. Ted will lie in state after 9 a.m., Wednesday, November 8, at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. There will be no family visitation.
