Henry E. Cox, 54, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018.
He was born September 24, 1963, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Emery Dean and Anna "Ruth" (Myers) Cox. He was a graduate of Van Horn High School, Independence, Missouri. He served in the Army National Guard in Topeka for 3 years.
Henry was employed by Outback Pools and Spas in Indianapolis, Indiana and most recently for Thunder Hill Speedway, Mayetta, KS as the "Raceway Buzzard".
Survivors include his son, Nathan Cox, Topeka; four grandchildren, Victor, Alex, Julia and Alana Cox; his mother, Anna "Ruth" M. Upchurch, Topeka; his father, Emery Cox, Oregon; and two brothers, Curtis (Polly) Cox, Topeka and Harold Cox, Portland, OR; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Henry was an animal lover, who enjoyed dirt track racing and fishing.
Cremation is planned. A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date. Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel is assisting the family.
