Henry G. "Bill" Price, 88, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016. He was born July 29, 1927, in Reading, Kansas, the son of Henry and Alice (Cropp) Price.
Bill was the owner of "The Price Works", a furniture refinishing and restoration service, for over 40 years.
Bill was a member of the Arab Shrine of Topeka and played the bass drum in the Arab Shrine Band.
Bill married Maureen R. Goede on July 30, 1954 in Ellis, KS. Survivors include his wife, Maureen; sons, Denis Price (Sarah) and Kent Price; grandchildren, Matt, Meghan, Ashley, Andrea, Lydia and Will; two great-grandchildren, Ashdan and Mason. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was an avid outdoorsman, including hunting, fishing, competitive shooting, and cabinet making, just to name a few of his many talents. His greatest joy was to have family gatherings.
Per his wishes, Bill was cremated and no "formal" services will be held. A gathering to celebrate his life will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26th at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 6th & Gage in Topeka.
