Herman Riker Clinton, 81, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2008 at his home. He was born November 13, 1927, in Topeka, the youngest child of Ross and Susanne Riker Clinton. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, serving in the South Pacific with the Seabees. He worked for Armco Steel (now Contech Construction Products), retiring in 1990. He is survived by his wife, Donna who he married on April 8, 1971 in Topeka and Rusty, his devoted canine companion. Other survivors include his son, Randy (Mary) Clinton of Arlington, TX; daughters, Roxanne McNeil, Shelley (Craig) Hill, Robin (Leonard) Koci all of Topeka; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces and 1 nephew. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Clinton and a sister, Marjorie Gildersleeve. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
