Hildred E. Johnson, 105, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
She was born June 13, 1917, in Coal Run, Ohio, the daughter of Henry W. and Edith M. (Saugstad) Hall.
Hildred married Fred Panigot on January 19, 1943 in St. Joseph, Missouri and their marriage was blessed by a daughter, Patricia (Patty). After Fred's passing in 1947, Hildred lived for many years in Marysville, Kansas where she raised Patty.
On September 30, 1967 in Marysville, Kansas, Hildred married Elmer Johnson. The couple moved to Topeka in 1978. Hildred loved to crochet and knit. She and Elmer made numerous quilts together.
Hildred was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Johnson in 1998; her siblings, Evelyn Binegar, Henry Hall and Eugene Hall.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Leonard) Schutter; step-children, Sheryl Mullen, Larry Johnson and Richard Johnson; grandchildren, Casie LaMunyon, Jodie Janovec, Scott Clawson, Shelley Saeman and Shandra McKerney; nine great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Honoring Hildred's request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service for Hildred will take place sometime in the Spring of 2023 at West Lawn Memorial Gardens, 820 SW Auburn Rd., Topeka, KS 66615.
