Homer "Junior" Marshall, III, 54, Topeka, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013.
Junior was born July 1, 1958 in Kansas City, MO, the son of Mary and Homer Marshall. He grew up in Topeka and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1976.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and became disabled while on active duty.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Harris and step-father, Thomas Harris, Dallas, TX; sisters, Loyce Houston, Pamela Whitaker, Elizabeth Marshall, Tracy Swint, Toni Chandler; brother, Gary Boyd, all of Dallas, TX; aunt, Dorthella Brown, Topeka; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Jonathan Marshall; and sister, Erma Marshall.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Private family inurnment will be in a national cemetery at a later date.
