Howard Drayer

Howard Franklin Drayer, 80, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2006. He was born February 4, 1925 in Topeka, Kansas the son of Franklin and Mayteel Sawyer Drayer.

He graduated from Topeka High School. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 to 1946.

He was married to Marion L. Ward on April 27, 1947. She preceded him in death June 6, 1999.

He is survived by two sons: Ralph Drayer, Lake City, FL and Marc Drayer, Topeka; one daughter, Lynn Shirley and her husband Larry, Topeka; and one granddaughter, Jill Shirley, Minneapolis, MN.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, January 6 at Wanamaker Woods Church of the Nazarene 3501 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka, KS 66614. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Drayer will lie in state from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Newcomer Family Funeral Home.
